Tuesday, Jul 20, 2010
In respect to China's extraordinary progress of nuclear power industry, the Chinese government has started revising the Medium- and Long-term National Plan for Nuclear Power Development in 2010. In the next five to ten years, China will install five to eight new nuclear power units each year, thus leading the global nuclear power industry development. China’s installed capacity of nuclear power generation will reach 40,000 megawatts in 2015, and 80,000 megawatts in 2020, making up 5% of China's total power generation capacity and 8% of electricity generated in this country.
Under such a backdrop, Guangdong Nuclear Society and CBI will co-organize 2010 China Nuclear Power Leadership Summit to bring together the elites in nuclear industry and pave the runway for the development of China's nuclear power. The summit will also be supported by French Nuclear Industry Association.
It is also a rare opportunity for industry insiders to make acquaintances and discuss a wide range of topics, such as the new technology of nuclear fuel recycling, new equipment, financing for nuclear power projects amid global economic recovery, state-of-the-art nuclear power solutions, sustainable development, and so on. The summit will envisage the future of nuclear power market in China as well as the technological trend and the investment hotspot.
This grand event will be honored to have the leaders of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), China Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding Co., Ltd. (CGNPC), China Institute of Atomic Energy, Dongfang Electric Corporation, among others. They will join the guests from all over the world to talk about the development of the nuclear power in China.
