AMEC awarded five-year contract by National Nuclear Laboratory

AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, has been awarded a five-year contract by the UK’s National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) for the provision of project management support to the refurbishment of NNL’s Active Handling Facility. The value of the contract has not been announced.

The programme of multi-discipline projects will help to ensure the facility is refurbished and remains fit for the delivery of its commercial operations for a further 20 years. AMEC will provide a team of project and engineering management professionals to oversee the safe delivery of a suite of projects to cost and schedule.

We need to be confident that we'll have reliable access to the facility for many years to come, and the refurbishment programme is a vital step in providing that confidence.”
